PARISH NEWSLETTER – 22/23 December 2018
4th Sunday of Advent
A CHRISTMAS MESSAGE
Thank you for the many ways you continue to give support and encouragement to Monsignor, Éamonn and myself as your local priests. We greatly appreciate.
Central to our baptism is that we journey in Friendship and Faith together. On this journey it is a privilege for us priests to be part of the joys and sorrows of your lives.
May the Good News of our Christmas story bring us new strength and hope. May the open door of every crib enable us to have an open heart to God’s Love for us and an open heart towards Love and Care for each other.
May the Good News of Christmas take root in our hearts and in our community. May the Light of Christmas come into any darkness we carry in our heart and bring us healing.
In Friendship and in Faith may we face this coming year together with renewed hope.
Ballybrown Journals 2018 available from the Sacristy during the Christmas Masses should you wish to purchase one. Cost €10.00.
Patrickswell: The Christmas story will be read to the children before Mass on Christmas Eve. There is always a build-up of excitement with the children who look forward to the storytelling.
Crib Offerings: Sister Bride Counihan is asking for your support with some proceeds from our crib offerings this year again. As has been the custom in this Parish over the years we will donate all the crib offerings received towards her Mission in South America.
Holy Communion: If a family member is unable to attend a Christmas Mass and would like to have Holy Communion, please come to the Sacristy for a communion pyx.
2019 Envelope Boxes are being distributed over the Christmas/New Year Christmas Dues envelopes are available in the Church for those who are not in receipt of the Weekly Envelopes.
A very warm welcome to all our new parishioners here in Patrickswell/Ballybrown Parish. We hope that you are settling into your new home and will soon feel part of our community. If you would like to register as a member of our parish, please contact Pauline in the Parish Office.
