Requiescat In Pace

The parish was saddened to learn of the death of our beloved Ballybrown Church sacristan, Pat Gallagher on Saturday June 24th last.

Pat became sacristan in 2006, following the retirement of Dina Fitzgerald R.I.P. and his long and devoted service was recognised by Pope Francis last October when Pat was awarded the Benemerenti Medal. Pat was a lifelong member of the PTAA Pioneers and he served as President of the Ballybrown branch since 2003. He was also influential in setting up MPCC Credit Union in 1982.

We offer our sincere condolences to his wife Marie, daughters Marion (Bedford) and Geraldine (Walsh), grandchildren, sisters and extended family together with many relatives and friends both in this parish and in his native Derry.
